The Indian government’s Ministry of Education launched the ‘SWAYAM’ platform to provide online training and certification programmes. The platform’s goal is to give professionals and students access to high-quality education that they can use wherever, whenever, and for a very low price.

On February 6, 2023, the University Grants Commission introduce four Swayam MOOCs, according to UGC Chairperson Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar.

The Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) will focus on the history of Indian Buddhism, Buddhist philosophy, Abhidhamma (Pali), and Community Engagement & Social Responsibility.
